Job Summary
Monitor in/out traffic at the front gate, patrol the site perimeter, and staff the front desk to authorize access and ensure security. Respond to disruptive behavior, manage crises, and provide behavioral management for guests with chemical dependency or mental health issues using motivational interviewing. Maintain site cleanliness, enforce rules, and ensure adequate bedding and basic needs for residents. Log resident in/out status, maintain daily schedules, and update incident reports, communication logs, and HMIS data. Collaborate with multidisciplinary case staffing meetings and outside agencies to coordinate services. Deliver messages, packages, and resource information while supporting volunteers and interns throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Good verbal and written communication
- Ability to use a computer proficiently for documentation, data entry, etc.
- Ability to provide a negative TB test
- Ability to successfully pass required background checks prior to an offer of employment
- Ability to successfully pass required background clearances prior to an offer of employment
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Must have reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with diverse populations including people with active mental health and substance use disorders
- Experience providing homeless services
- Certified Peer Counselor certification
- AA/BA in Social Service or related field
