Job Summary
Patrol all property areas including outside parking lots on a regular basis. Respond to guest complaints, investigate safety violations, and report incidents of theft, accidents, or suspicious persons to the daily log. Handle emergency alarms, determine course of action, notify authorities, and perform first aid or CPR as needed. Conduct investigations of security incidents and enforce the No Solicitation Policy. Maintain familiarity with all hotel disaster and emergency policies. Work inside 85% of shift with continuous standing and mobility required 100% of the time. Requires current CPR and First Aid certification, excellent hearing and vision, and ability to communicate via portable radio.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent experience
- Minimum two years prior experience in loss prevention
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to communicate through a portable radio
- May require a second language
- Excellent hearing
- Excellent vision
- Excellent speech communication skills
- Excellent comprehension and literacy
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry people or equipment in emergency situations
- Ability to bend and kneel
- 100% mobility to respond to emergencies and patrol the building
- Ability to stand continuously without extended periods in one place
- Ability to use stairs (no elevators)
