Job Summary
Conduct regular rounds of office buildings and surrounding premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion, ensuring doors, windows, gates, stairwells, and fire exits remain secure. Perform checks on windows, doors, gates, and mechanical rooms for tampering or unauthorized access. Write daily activity reports documenting irregularities such as equipment damage, theft, or fire hazards. Respond to alarms, contact emergency services during crises, and assist in building evacuations. Inform persons of rule infractions and control crowds as required. Maintain Level II licensing with a valid Texas driver's license and pass a criminal background check. Work as needed in the Houston area at $15-$16 per hour with weekly paychecks and access to a credit union.
Required Qualifications
- Located Houston area
- Non-Commissioned License
- Open Availability Required
- MUST have valid TX DL/ID
- Able to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing
- Customer service oriented
- Critical thinking and sound judgment
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle crisis situations
- Visual and hearing acuity to observe and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources
- Ability to perform general physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and/or moving the entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, sitting, standing for long periods of time, and handling of materials
- Meet and maintain all requirements of LEVEL II licensing for Security Officers, including passing a Criminal Background Check as required by the Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau (PSB)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
