On-call Security Guard

Job Summary
Conduct access control for UN House personnel and visitors, screening pedestrian and vehicular entry while enforcing security protocols. Perform regular patrols of the compound, offices, and parking areas to monitor conditions and report deficiencies. Maintain operation of the security control center by monitoring emergency lines, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and fire safety systems. Respond to emergencies as a response officer, utilizing firefighting equipment and executing contingency plans. Manage logbooks and incident documentation, reporting irregularities immediately through the established chain. Provide security support for organized events and limited ancillary upkeep of external greenery. Perform duties on an as-needed basis across eight or twelve-hour rotating shifts including nights, adhering to standing Standard Operating Procedures and UN Code of Conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary Education
- Minimum two years (with secondary education) of experience in security field
- Experience in access control
- Experience in video controlling
- Experience in patrolling
- Experience in protection of premises and assets
- Experience in security reporting
- Experience in record-keeping
- Experience in maintenance of logbooks and incident documentation
- Experience working in Windows
- Experience working in MS Office applications
Desired Qualifications
- Professional training, certification, and licensing for physical security services
- Experience in responding to emergency situations, including fire, medical incidents, evacuation, and security threats
- Previous experience in providing security services to international organizations, diplomatic missions, or similar institutions
