Job Summary
On Call Registered Nurse (RN) providing hospice nursing care to patients in collaboration with the RN Case Manager. Responsibilities include routine visits, admissions, continuous care, and death visits in a hospice setting. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and current state licensure; strong observation, communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills; ability to relate to patients, families, and providers; English literacy; and basic computer skills. The role involves physical activity and driving a personal vehicle as part of patient care within the Milwaukee market.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- One (1) year of recent acute care experience in an institutional setting
- Current licensure in state
- Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills; nursing skills per competency checklist
- Able to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients, families, community members, and providers
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Meets all health requirements, as required by law
- Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
