Job Summary
Provide support to residents according to their individualized treatment plan, focusing on personal care services, environmental intervention, and limited group social and recreational treatment activities. Administer prescribed medications, follow physician orders, and document services on medical charts and count sheets. Transport clients to and from the program as necessary to engage in treatment services while maintaining compliance with productivity standards. Respond to facility coverage requests within two hours of initial call and attend monthly staff meetings and clinical supervision. Maintain current company training and register as a Qualified Mental Health Associate. This role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and completion of crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Associate registration through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO)
- Must be able to provide a valid driver's license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire
- Must maintain a safe driving record
- Must have the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check
- Must be able to frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally use ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable
- Must successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings
- Must be 18 or older at the time of hire
- Must be able to work a minimum of 32 shift hours per month
- Must attend a minimum of one staff meeting per month
- Must stay current on company training
- Must be able to respond to facility requesting coverage within 2 hours of initial call
- Must be able to administer prescribed medications
- Must be able to follow physician's orders for all medications and/or procedures
- Must be able to document on medical charts and count sheets according to established procedures
- Must be able to responsibly assist clients with self-administration of medications within agency policies and procedures
- Must be able to transport clients to and from the program as necessary
- Must be able to maintain compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services
- Must be able to provide support to residents according to their individualized treatment plan with a focus on personal care services
- Must be able to provide environmental intervention
- Must be able to provide limited group social and recreational treatment activities as assigned
- Must be able to utilize an approved evidenced-based group curriculum
- Must be able to provide limited treatment services and personal care supports for clients
- Must be able to help clients develop appropriate skills to increase or maintain their level of functioning
- Must be able to earn CEUs towards applicable mental health certifications
- Must be able to attend required, paid training
- Must be able to receive qualified clinical supervision gaining on-the-job experience
- Must be able to register as a QMHA - R through MHACBO during the first week of employment
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends & night shifts
- Must meet one of the following: Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science (Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field) OR minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience and training
