Job Summary
Maintain assigned areas in sanitary and orderly conditions by vacuuming floors, shampooing rugs, stripping and buffing wax, and disinfecting walls, ceilings, and windows. Clean and polish sinks, tubs, and mirrors; replenish dispensable supplies; remove trash; and move furniture or set up meeting rooms. Remove soiled bed linen and make beds with fresh linens at patient discharge. Perform snow or debris removal from Institute grounds using a snow plow tractor when needed. Operate on an as-needed basis.
Required Qualifications
- ability to follow oral or written instructions
- ability to perform simple arithmetic
- Knowledge of recurrent work routines and procedures
- operation of non-complex equipment
- appropriate interpersonal skills
- ability to move and transport objects weighing up to 60 pounds
- On-call availability
- As needed availability
