Job Summary
On-Call Pilot Plant Technician responsible for cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of the pilot-plant equipment under supervisor direction. Assist in all activities in the pilot plant as required by the supervisor or project leaders. Apply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility; maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and well-organized working environment; assist in execution of projects in the pilot plant; assist Process Development staff with receipt of products, storage of samples, accurately weighing ingredients, and preparing products and samples for testing in both the lab and pilot plant; assist with labeling, packaging, and shipping of products; follow SOPs, SMs, and Protocols; maintain pilot plant equipment and documentation per GLP and GMP; maintain inventory of equipment parts, lab supplies, and cleaning supplies; work as a team with staff to achieve objectives; identify and communicate improvement options/issues to supervisor; perform other assigned duties including miscellaneous tasks; operate safely and efficiently; overtime and weekend work as needed; exposure to potential food allergens; required training in Chemical Hygiene, Ergonomic Training, Forklift Operator Training, Injury and Illness Prevention, Lockout/Tagout, and Right to Know; Eurofins USA Food Testing is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED, one or more years of college or technical training preferred.
