Job Summary
On-Call Pilot Plant Technician responsible for cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of pilot plant equipment under supervisor direction; assist in pilot-plant activities; support process development staff with receipt of products, weighing ingredients, preparing samples for testing, labeling, packaging, and shipping; follow SOPs/GLP/GMP protocols; maintain clean, safe work environment; maintain equipment parts and supplies inventory; collaborate with product and process development staff to meet objectives; identify equipment/facility improvement options and report to supervisor; perform miscellaneous tasks including housekeeping and compliance with safety measures; occasional overtime/weekend work and exposure to allergens; must be able to operate forklift trucks and climb ladders; training in Chemical Hygiene, Ergonomic, Forklift Operator, Injury and Illness Prevention Program, Lockout/Tagout, Right to Know; supportive benefits package offered.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- one or more years of college or technical training preferred
- Knowledge of basic mechanical repair and use of cleaning equipment
