Job Summary
On-call Parking/Valet Attendant needed at Midtown & Downtown hotels. Responsibilities include greeting guests, opening doors, assisting with coats and luggage, providing information about services and local attractions, handling valet tickets, retrieving and parking vehicles, maintaining keys securely, maintaining a professional appearance, coordinating with hotel staff, and upholding safety protocols. Requires excellent guest service and interpersonal skills, ability to work outdoors in varied conditions, physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and willingness to working nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior valet or hospitality experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent preferred; valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods and work in outdoor environments
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be dependable and responsive to last-minute scheduling needs
- Excellent communication, guest service, and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail ability to handle stressful situations with poise
- Ability to meet physical requirements (lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds, carry up to 10 pounds)
- Friendly, energetic, well-groomed professional appearance and demeanor
- Prior valet or hospitality experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Prior experience in valet, hospitality, or customer service roles
- Working Environment: Outdoor setting with exposure to weather conditions
- High guest interaction and fast-paced environment
- Frequent lifting, bending, and walking/running
