Job Summary
Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the hotel's interior and perimeter while monitoring security systems for unusual activity. Respond promptly to security telephone and safety hotline calls, addressing emergencies such as fires, disturbances, and threats to guests or property. Maintain order by handling challenging situations with a calm, rational approach and assisting guests with security-related concerns like door lock issues. Observe individuals entering or loitering around the property to report suspicious activity and stay alert for safety hazards. Become familiar with the hotel layout, life-safety systems, and alarm locations while promoting safe work practices. Complete other security-related duties as assigned, including navigating stairs and performing physical tasks such as bending or moving equipment.
