Job Summary

Administer medications as directed by the Licensed Nurse in accordance with Physician Orders, State Regulations, and the Nurse Practice Act. Maintain accurate records of medications provided or omitted, including controlled substances, in each resident's Electronic Medication Administration Record. Provide direct resident care while promoting the resident's dignity, independence, and choice, and assist with dietary and environmental needs as needed. This non-management, non-union-represented on-call role fills open shifts at Our House in SE Portland. Starting pay is $25.94 per hour. Candidates need at least one year of experience as a Medication Technician or in healthcare, prior experience passing medications, and the ability to pass a DHS background check.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience in working as a Med Tech or other healthcare-related experience
  • Ability to pass DHS background check
  • Prior experience passing medications
  • A strong understanding of issues relevant to people living with HIV, communities of color, and the LBGTQ+ community and how those issues affect or influence service delivery
