Job Summary
On-Call Medication Aide position in a nursing facility: administer medications to residents as ordered by physicians under supervision, follow facility policies and nursing standards, complete necessary forms and documentation, report errors, maintain professional relationships with nursing staff and pharmacists, participate in quality assurance programs, ensure medications are properly labeled and charted, verify resident identity, observe and document medication effects, and stay current with training and certifications. Requires a licensed Medication Aide and a minimum high school education; compensation ranges from $17.50 to $24.50 per hour, with benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess high school education or its equivalent
- Must be a licensed Medication Aide having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with state laws.
