Job Summary
Greet and check-in patients, obtain medical history and vital signs, and assist physicians with examinations and procedures. Prepare and administer medications as directed, perform basic laboratory tests, and schedule appointments while maintaining accurate medical records. Ensure HIPAA compliance and provide excellent customer service to patients and families. This on-call role requires a CCMA or RMA certified Medical Assistant residing in California with EMR proficiency. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (you must be a CCMA or RMA)
- All applicants must present a valid Medical Assistant Diploma at the time of hire, with a California certified credential within 60 days of employment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must reside in California and be able to perform work onsite
