Job Summary
On Call Lead Teacher at OHCAC Head Start provides high-quality early childhood education for birth through five-year-olds in Crawford and surrounding counties. You will join a cooperative teaching team (minimum two teachers per classroom) to design and implement developmentally appropriate activity plans based on assessment data, foster exploration through indoor/outdoor curriculum, and engage families to support child development. The role emphasizes collaboration, curriculum development, classroom observation, and serving as a liaison between Head Start families and community resources, with a base pay range of $19.51-$28.88 per hour and comprehensive benefits. Positions are part-time in Bucyrus and Galion, OH, with required background and safety checks.
Required Qualifications
- A Baccalaureate or Advanced Degree in Early Childhood Education, preferred; a Baccalaureate or Advanced Degree and Coursework Equivalent to a Major Relating to Early Childhood Education, with experience teaching Preschool-Age Children, preferred
- A minimum of an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, with experience teaching Preschool-Age children is required
- Background checks including Drug testing and Criminal Background Check will be conducted
- Driver's Record Check and Employment References check may be required
