Job Summary
Prepare and serve meals for Head Start children, families, and staff while following provided menus and strict food safety guidelines. Perform kitchen cleanup, sanitize surfaces, wash dishes, and assemble meals for transport to classrooms. Transport food to center locations when required, utilizing a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Attend program meetings as requested by the supervisor and maintain compliance with the code of conduct and confidentiality policies. This on-call role offers flexible scheduling with varying hours per week based on accepted assignments. Staff select their available days and locations across Lebanon and Albany. The organization provides paid sick time, training opportunities, and a wage of $18.01 per hour, with a 6% increase available for Spanish/English bilingual skills.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record if you wish to be considered for placement with a center that transports
- Enrollment in the Child Care Divisions Central Background Registry
- Completion of Employee Health Appraisal including TB screening
- Completion of Food Handlers Card
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Ability to load and unload totes into service van
- Ability to manipulate a variety of kitchen tools
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend/twist and use arms/hands frequently and repetitively
- Ability to work effectively with people of diverse cultures, races, values and lifestyles
Desired Qualifications
