Job Summary
On-Call Community Care Aide (CCA) provides personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to frail, older adults (age 55+) in their homes. Must be able to respond to on-call requests for McKeesport and Mon Valley areas, work independently, and cover designated on-call times. Requires reliable vehicle and PA driver’s license. Shifts include Monday–Friday 4:00 pm–10:00 pm and weekends 6:30 am–9:30 pm. High school diploma or equivalent required; 1+ years of experience with elderly populations preferred. Key duties include routine personal care, following written and verbal directions, keeping records, and maintaining empathetic, patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: One or more years of verifiable experience with frail/elderly population preferred; experience as a personal care aide, CNA, home health aide or nursing assistant desirable
- Skills: Discretion, tact, patience, good judgment; empathetic and compassionate attitude; ability to follow verbal and written directions; ability to get along with others; physical and emotional ability to perform personal care tasks; routine care and activities of participants
