Job Summary
Conduct site patrols on foot or in a motor vehicle to ensure personnel, building, and equipment security. Monitor environments for safety infractions, report irregularities including security breaches and hazards, and enforce safety and emergency procedures. Control traffic and pedestrians at access points while maintaining strict confidentiality of data. Respond to inquiries, contact emergency responders as required, and offer support to individuals in need. Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to maintain logs and communicate with supervisors. This role requires availability for varied shifts including overnight and weekends, an Alberta Security License, and a valid Class 5 license. Candidates must possess strong communication skills, the ability to write comprehensive reports, and physical stamina to walk 18-20 km. First Aid and CPR Level C certification are mandatory. The position reports to the Client Service Manager within a nation-leading security company.
Required Qualifications
- Availability for variety of shifts including overnight shifts and weekends
- Ability to obtain Alberta Security License
- Valid class 5 license and own vehicle
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills while remaining professional with a tactful and friendly demeanor
- Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain site logs
- Ability to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency situations with minimal supervision
- Discretion when handling confidential and private information
- Ability to perform under pressure and in adversity
- Ability to walk 18-20 km and climb stairs
- Authorized to legally work in Canada
- First Aid
- CPR Level C
