Job Summary
Respond to emergency situations and perform routine and complex semi-skilled work in skilled trades including general construction and maintenance. Conduct repairs and installations for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, concrete, and small engine systems. Operate medium-size weight construction equipment and vehicles, load and unload materials, and perform preventive maintenance duties for buildings and facilities. Set up audio/visual and lighting equipment for events, meetings, and venues. Adhere to all local ordinances and work from maps, blueprints, and oral instructions. Requires valid Florida driver's license, two years of commercial building maintenance experience, and ability to relocate to other county locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or possession of GED
- Two (2) years of experience in commercial building maintenance and repair involving plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, painting, mechanical pipe installation and repair, concrete, or brick work
- A comparable amount of education and training may be substituted for the minimum experience
- Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license at the time of hire
- Must be able to relocate to other county locations based upon operational needs
