Job Summary
Patrol assigned areas or maintain a fixed post to monitor activity while controlling access points and managing pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Identify and report suspicious activity, respond to alarms and emergencies, and monitor CCTV cameras and security systems. Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation while inspecting property for safety risks such as fire hazards. Greet and assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally, providing directions and maintaining a visible, approachable presence on-site. Follow all post orders, company policies, and safety procedures, including emergency response protocols and loss prevention recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stay alert and respond calmly in emergency situations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
- City Security license
- Prior security or customer-facing experience
- Familiarity with CCTV, alarms, or access control systems
- High level of attentiveness and situational awareness
- Dependable and team-oriented
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency
