Job Summary
Assist residents with ADL tasks including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, meals, housekeeping, and laundry. Positively support residents with emotional and behavioral issues while observing and upholding their rights. Answer all resident pendant or pull cords immediately and maintain a safe, clean environment by following cleaning schedules. Observe residents for safety changes, report findings to the on-duty nurse, and assist staff from all departments to ensure quality care. Support activity participation by facilitating movement to/from activities and leading activities when requested. Develop and revise service plans by informing supervisors of current resident needs and preferences. Maintain confidentiality, demonstrate safe working practices, and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Drug free status
- Willingness to submit to Urinary Analysis Drug screening upon hire and routinely
- Pass Criminal Background Check
- Pass Health Screening including TB test
- Age eighteen (18) years or older
- Current CPR and first aid certification
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret care plans
- Knowledge of Assisted Living and Memory Care regulations
- Ability to prioritize and organize assignments
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the work day
- Ability to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach
- Willingness to be active and on feet during entire work shift
- Sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/hand items
