Job Summary
Receive daily instructions and complete assigned tasks across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems with minimal supervision. Utilize hand and power tools to perform varied assignments throughout the day while wearing required personal protective equipment. Maintain safety as the top priority for yourself and others, communicating job status and deadlines effectively to the team. Work overtime and different shifts with little notice in the Mojave Desert, reading blueprints when preferred. This role supports cutting-edge propulsion systems testing at the Air Force Research Laboratory within a team environment.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in the work force
- HS Degree
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance
- Must be able to perform different assignments all throughout the day
- Must place Safety of self and others ahead of everything else
- Must have great customer service skills
- Must have ability to work to a well-defined schedule
- Must know about and be able to use basic hand tools
- Will be required to work overtime
- Will be required to work different shifts with little notice
- Will be required to work in the Mojave Desert
- Must be able to take instructions from a more senior technician
- Must be able to utilize basic hand tools and power tools
- Must be able to communicate the status of jobs and understand deadlines
- Must be able to quickly communicate any deviations
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of building construction and components (HVAC, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and landscaping)
- The ability to read a blueprint is preferred
