Job Summary
On-Call Driver responsible for completing assigned delivery routes for the Heavy-Duty Department, supporting store deliveries, transfers, and freight movement, loading/unloading freight, securing loads, and maintaining accurate delivery and return documentation. Communicates delays or issues to supervisors, adheres to safety policies and transportation procedures, and maintains professional, service-focused interactions with stores and DC teams during coverage periods.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license
- MANUAL TRANSMISSION REQUIRED
- Previous delivery or commercial driving experience
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and follow transportation procedures
- Dependable, flexible, and able to adjust to changing operational needs
- Ability to lift, move, load, and unload freight as required
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while following direction from the Heavy-Duty Manager
- Winter and chain up experience
- Clean drivers abstract
