Job Summary
On Call Direct Support Staff provides 1:1 support to adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. Responsibilities include organizing coverage for open shifts, responding to emergency support calls, offering emotional support and companionship, facilitating activities, meal planning, light personal care (bathing and toileting), mobility assistance (wheelchair lifts and transfers), shopping/errands, and coordinating with families and staff. Requires willingness to commit to a minimum of one year, ability to work in the Tri-Valley region (Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, Alameda County), and a valid California driver’s license with suitable driving record. Schedule is part-time with 24-hour on-call coverage weekly; training included. Benefits and nonprofit-employer context described; equal opportunity employer.
