Job Summary
On-call Dental Assistant I to assist the dental provider across Diagnostic to Orthodontic services with four-handed dentistry, escort patients, provide patient education, and communicate delays. Responsibilities include charting in Dentrix, registering patients in Allscripts PM, obtaining vital signs, maintaining sterilization/OSHA standards, inventory assistance, training new staff, and participating in Quality Improvement activities. Requires a Washington Dental Assistant program completion, WA state registration, BLS CPR within 90 days, annual TB test and flu vaccine, and occasional travel; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Formal Dental Assistant program completed (College/Technical Institute or equivalent)
- Registered with Washington State Department of Health (current or must maintain)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintained during employment
- TB test annually
- Annual influenza vaccine (with exemptions approved by Administration) or compliant masking otherwise
- Ability to read/write English; effective communication with patients and staff; basic math
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Possess knowledge of infection control and OSHA regulations

- Must sign confidentiality oath
- Background check from Washington State Patrol
- Must sign and date job description to confirm compliance
