Job Summary
Respond to and manage after-hours operational and client-related emergencies, coordinating staffing coverage and service continuity during absences or disruptions. Provide orientation, guidance, and crisis support to staff during unfamiliar shifts, client medical emergencies, and behavioral events. Assess complex situations, make timely decisions aligned with agency policies, and escalate critical incidents to the Service Management Team. Ensure accurate documentation of incidents and analyze operational data to inform service improvements. Foster effective communication with staff, leadership, families, and emergency responders while maintaining strict confidentiality. Work collaboratively with the Service Management Team to promote consistent, high-quality service delivery across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Services, Social Work, Disability Studies, Health Sciences, or a related field
- International credentials must be supported by a recognized International Qualifications Assessment (IQA)
- Minimum three years of experience in human services, healthcare, social services, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to assess complex situations and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong conflict resolution, crisis management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently while fostering effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- A satisfactory Police Information Check and Child Intervention Record Check
- Possession of a valid Class 5 driver's licence and a satisfactory driver's abstract
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a group care environment
- Previous scheduling and/or on-call coordination experience
- Experience with ShareVision and/or SharePoint
