Job Summary
Set up banquet rooms with linen, service ware, and glassware as instructed by the supervisor or banquet lead. Attend roll call meetings to learn function particulars and guest expectations. Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly, courteous manner while serving food and beverages according to established standards. Promptly remove dishes between courses and replenish beverages as necessary. Check with guests for overall satisfaction and reset the room after the event concludes. Abide by all state, federal, and corporate requirements regarding alcohol service. Work on an as-needed basis starting September 2026 at $16.00/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate well with guests in English
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
- Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware
- Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items
- Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes in Food and Beverage
- Constantly: Standing, walking, and lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs
- Occasionally: Sitting, climbing, crawling, squatting/kneeling, lifting/carrying over 50 lbs, and pushing/pulling over 50 lbs
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
Desired Qualifications
- Previous banquet serving ability is strongly preferred
- Willing to pitch-in and help the team with tasks
