Job Summary
Set up and break down banquet rooms for functions and daily breakfast service, then open and close the breakfast room as assigned. Serve patrons from chafing dishes and pre-plated meals, clear and reset tables, and brew coffee. May act as a bartender, operate beverage machinery, and respond to guest requests. Work weekends and holidays earning $12.14/hr plus gratuities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Able to obtain a TIPs or local Responsible alcohol awareness certificate
- Able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds
