Job Summary
Mix quality cocktails, pour proper drafts, and decant wine to achieve the best taste during banquets. Accurately record and enter food and beverage items, garnish and serve products promptly, collect payments, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout. Maximize sales by using menu knowledge and suggestive selling techniques while adhering to established Xanterra alcohol policies and State and local regulations. Maintain cleanliness of service areas and ensure work zones are orderly and properly stocked. This role requires a TIPS alcohol awareness certification and is available on an as-needed basis starting September 2026 for the Xanterra Travel Collection®.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- Certification in the TIPS alcohol awareness program
- Ability to organize and prioritize under pressure while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors
- Ability to absorb large amounts of information quickly
- Knowledge of basic sanitation
- Constantly: Standing, walking, handling, reaching and lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs
- Occasionally: Sitting, reaching overhead, climbing, crawling, squatting/kneeling, lifting/carrying over 50 lbs, and pushing/pulling over 50 lbs
