On-Call Banquet Bartender

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to banquet guests in a professional, timely, and courteous manner. Maintains accountability for all issued liquor, accurately processes beverage payments, and completes required cash-handling and inventory documentation while ensuring compliance with company standards and local alcohol service regulations. ESSENTIAL: Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Fairmont Standards. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, and comply with all standards and regulations. Prepare bar fruit and garnish, count liquor for each party, stock and clean glassware, prepare and serve drinks to guests, collect payments when necessary, clean bar, open multiple wine bottles for banquet dinner service, prepare banquet liquor room for next day, enforce liquor laws. MARGINAL: Move bar to appropriate locations; Other duties as required. EDUCATION: High school diploma and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred. TIPS certification will be required. PHYSICAL/MENTAL: long hours, able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds constantly; strong communication, quick decision-making, and teamwork. Knowledge of banquet protocol, wine, liquor, beer, and cocktails. The hourly starting rate is USD $23.19.
