Job Summary

Conduct pre-field research, field surveys, monitoring, and site testing using reference materials to determine exact site locations and mark them on maps and aerial photographs. Ensure work assignments are carried out safely and timely according to established standards while collaborating with construction crews and colleagues. Maintain excellent note-taking skills and proficiency in ArcGIS, Field Maps, and Survey123. Must be able to stand for ten hours, with most projects working eight-hour days. Requires a valid driver's license, good driving record, and own vehicle. Travel availability is necessary. After 60 days, eligibility includes telehealth, dental, accident, life, and STD insurance, plus monthly technology stipends and accrued sick days.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or graduate degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or closely related field
  • Strong analytical and communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both written and verbally, to all project team members, client representatives, and other staff
  • Word and Excel proficiency
  • Ability to work in a small team environment
  • Applicant must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and their own vehicle
  • Must be able to stand for ten hours although most projects work eight-hour days
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Availability to travel may be necessary

Desired Qualifications

  • Fieldwork and monitoring experience preferred
  • Experience in ArcGIS/Field Maps and Survey123 preferred
  • Confidence in working in a construction environment
  • Excellent note taking ability
