Job Summary
On-call Parks Permitting Administrative Support Assistant III provides customer service and administrative support for various park-use permits, processes permits according to City policies, assists with policy updates and data reporting, and supports office tasks and interdepartmental coordination. The role requires proficiency with permitting software (ActiveNet) and Microsoft Office, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle high volumes of inquiries. The position operates in a hybrid schedule in the Denver area, with on-site work at the Montclair Civic Building on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and remote work on Mondays and Fridays, within Colorado. The ideal candidate will have two years of clerical experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities include customer interactions, permit processing and administration, payment processing, data management, and collaboration with City Agencies and Park Rangers, with typical hours during event season and variable scheduling throughout the year.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
- Two (2) years of clerical experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience using Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint
- Experience with ActiveNet
- Ability to interact professionally with a high volume of customers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple permits and provide project coordination as needed
