Job Summary
On-call adjunct instructor to assist program faculty in Welding Technology, delivering hands-on labs and classroom instruction, developing active learning experiences, grading and providing feedback, and ensuring safety and compliance with FERPA, COE accreditation, and program expectations. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and implementing instructional activities, preparing learning environments, aligning with course syllabi and lab experiences, and supporting biannual OAC meetings. Hours vary by program needs with welding cohorts running mornings and afternoons (class times 6:30 am–9:30 pm). Candidates should bring 3+ years of industry experience, an associate degree or industry-recognized certificate, and proficiency with SMAW/GMAW/FCAW/GTAW, Oxyfuel, and Plasma Arc Cutting, plus Microsoft Office/Google Suite and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in industry
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Associate Degree or Industry-Recognized Certificate
- Experience using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, Oxyfuel Cutting, and Plasma Arc Cutting
- Experience in instructing is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
- Strong communication and presentation skills
