Job Summary
Analyze complex relationships and implement software solutions for future satellite programs, focusing on vehicle functions, data management, networks, avionics, and open platforms. Create concepts for software changes and new development based on project context and applicable documents. Support all phases of the software life cycle, from requirement creation to solution acceptance, while participating in unit, subsystem integration, and hardware/software integration tests. Design and develop in resource-constrained embedded environments using C or Java on Linux, ensuring performance and debugging at the hardware level. This role contributes to Airbus Defence and Space's zero-carbon flight and space sustainability initiatives within Stevenage.
Required Qualifications
- Must have or be able to obtain SC Security Clearance
- Proficient in software design and development in a resource constrained / embedded environment using C or Java
- Proficient in design, development and integration on Linux environment
- Experience of software integration, performance test and debug at the hardware level when dealing with complex systems
- Experience in requirements analysis and corresponding realisation/implementation
- Knowledge of software development tools such as VSCode, Eclipse, JIRA, git, Jenkins
- Ideally experience in Space/On board Software environment and associated process
- Awareness of any potential compliance risks
- Commitment to act with integrity
