Job Summary
Ombudsman Investigator, Housing responsible for conducting systemic investigations and reviews of City housing programs, drafting investigation reports, and advising on policy changes to uphold housing as a human right. Key duties include identifying systemic issues, engaging with stakeholders, developing enquiry plans, gathering and analyzing evidence, and recommending policy amendments. Strong written and verbal communication, investigative reporting, and mediation skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a context of equity, inclusion, and administrative fairness. Requires equity-aware, conflict-resolved public service delivery and the ability to manage a substantial caseload within a 35-hour work week.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
