Job Summary
Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to geriatric patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities as part of the SNF Therapy team. Assess mental status, diagnose DSM-V disorders, and develop treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological approaches. Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists. Requires Nebraska nursing licensure in psychiatry, Nebraska pharmacy licensure to prescribe controlled substances (DEA), and malpractice insurance if Independent Contractor. Minimum 1 year of geriatric psychiatric experience and 1 year of treatment in Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals. Spanish language skills are a plus. Compensation includes base salary with incentives; comprehensive benefits and flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in Nebraska by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
- Licensed by the Nebraska Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
- Possession of Malpractice Insurance if Independent Contractor (offered by the company for W2 employees)
- 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
- 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
