Job Summary
Shape complex financial and risk problems for leading banking and financial services clients by breaking down challenges into discrete tasks and directing junior consultants. Conduct end-to-end credit transformation, balance sheet management, and regulatory strategy engagements while collaborating with UK, European, and global partners. Deliver recommendations on capital efficiency, liquidity, smart pricing, and advanced analytics to help organizations navigate transformative moments. Work fluidly with clients and project teams to drive results in a high-growth environment, requiring fluency in business English and the ability to travel across the UK and Europe.
Required Qualifications
- 3-8 years of relevant experience, depending on level
- Fluent business English
- Undergraduate or advanced degree in STEM, finance, economics, business or another analytically rigorous discipline
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organisation
- Ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel to clients in the UK, Europe and internationally
- Track record of delivering results in a cross-functional, high-growth and fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented team
- All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: 3-8 years of relevant experience, depending on level, ideally from a top-tier strategy consulting firm, financial services consulting firm, bank, building society, fintech, regulator or similar organisation
- Experience in Banking & Financial Services, including one or more of banking, capital markets, insurance, payments, wealth management, fintech or financial market infrastructure
- Exposure to finance, treasury, capital, liquidity, risk, regulation, credit, operating model, transformation, cost, digital, data or analytics topics
- Hands-on experience with data, analytics, modelling or AI-enabled financial services transformation
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills, including the ability to conduct or leverage sophisticated analysis to identify trends, draw conclusions and present recommendations
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adjust your style for different perspectives and seniority levels
- Additional European languages
- Curiosity, creativity and the initiative to seek out opportunities to learn new skills and apply them to clients' most important problems
