Job Summary
Conduct safe setup, operation, and maintenance of sound systems, lighting, animatronics, pyrotechnics, and weapons for live performances and attractions. Collaborate with stage managers and the technical supervisor during load-out, rehearsals, and show execution to incorporate last-minute changes and enforce safety protocols. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on technical equipment while conducting quality checks to ensure optimal performance. Adapt to changing production schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, while traveling domestically and working in varying desert weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of sound systems, lighting equipment, animatronics, carpentry, pyrotechnics, weapons, art, and decor
- Experience with programming and operating ETC software and consoles (EOS/ION)
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and regulations
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form
- Ability to use power tools
- Must be able to travel domestically
- Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment and work comfortably at heights, as needed
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and a background check
Desired Qualifications
- Technical training or certifications in theater production, entertainment technology, or related fields
- Previous experience working as a show technician or similar role in a theater, theme park, or entertainment venue
