Job Summary
Administer and maintain the Okta Identity Platform for the Federal Reserve Board, integrating applications via SAML, OIDC, and OAuth while configuring authorization servers and API access. Build and maintain authentication and authorization policies, implement MFA and adaptive authentication rules, and troubleshoot SSO issues, user access problems, and integration failures. Document all configurations and processes with a focus on operational excellence within a highly regulated financial environment. This role supports enterprise-impacting initiatives using cutting-edge identity technologies.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on Okta administration experience
- Strong knowledge of SSO protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC)
- Experience with Okta Workflows
- Understanding of identity governance and security best practices
- Ability to work independently and respond to support requests
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with systematic problem-solving approach
- Strong documentation skills with ability to create clear technical documentation
- Effective communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Customer service orientation with commitment to operational excellence
- Experience working in highly regulated environments (financial services, healthcare, or government)
Desired Qualifications
- Okta Professional Certification
- Experience with REST APIs and scripting (PowerShell, Python)
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security automation
- Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms
