Job Summary
Manage purchase order follow-ups, shipping statuses, and invoice discrepancies to align with Supply Chain Management KPIs. Resolve "Invoices on Hold" based on Accounts Payable reports, update overdue logs weekly, and clean the SAP Purchasing database for open orders. Coordinate vendor relationships and WHS discrepancies while evaluating performance to prevent delays and stockouts. Provide timely feedback to end-users and report expediting activity status to the Senior Buyer. Interact with Logistics, Warehouse, Inventory Control, and Finance sections to ensure operational efficiency. Work Monday to Friday in the Georgetown office within a permanent, full-time role.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management or designate Certificate in Procurement and Supply Management
- 3-5 years of work experience in Supply Chain Management
- Responsible purchasing/buyer/materials experience in a mining environment
- Highly developed working knowledge of purchasing systems and applications (SAP, Oracle, or Guide-Ti)
- Fundamental knowledge of accounting, procurement, and basic mechanical and electrical applications
- Proficiency in IT skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work either independently or as part of a team
- Time management & work prioritization skills
- Must possess high ethical and professional standards in all dealings
- Ability to organize, set priorities, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and manage distractions
- Must possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and pay close attention to details
- Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal in English
- Position based in Georgetown Office
- Work Schedule – Monday to Friday
- Permanent, full-time role
