Job Summary
Camp Recreation Attendant at the OKO GOLD Project campus in Georgetown, Guyana is responsible for organizing and facilitating recreational, fitness, and social activities to boost employee morale and wellbeing while ensuring facilities and equipment are clean, safe, and maintained. The role supports wellness initiatives, coordinates events, monitors safety, and communicates program offerings to camp residents. On-site duties include setting up and taking down equipment, maintaining inventory, and assisting with camp operations in a remote mining camp environment. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain), and the ability to work independently or as part of a team with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Position is permanent, full-time with a 14 days on/7 days off schedule, and accommodations/meals provided on site.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in recreation, hospitality, or fitness is an asset
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in recreation, hospitality, or camp operations preferred
- Basic understanding of sports, fitness, and recreational activities
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Physically fit and able to lift or move equipment as required
