Job Summary
The Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General seeks candidates for a one-year fellowship in the Solicitor General Unit to defend Oklahoma’s interests in federal and state courts. Fellows will supervise appellate litigation, research, and draft briefs for the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the Oklahoma Supreme Court, and assist in preparing for scheduled oral arguments. Candidates must be licensed to practice law, demonstrate strong research and writing skills, and have an interest in federal and Oklahoma constitutional law.
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed and admitted to practice law in at least one state or have admission pending
- Demonstrated outstanding research and writing skills
- Familiarity with and interest in federal constitutional law and statutory interpretation
- Interest in Oklahoma constitutional law
Desired Qualifications
- Judicial clerkship experience, particularly at the federal appellate level
