Job Summary
OJT Lead in Maintenance Training overseeing apprenticeship programs. Responsibilities include observing trainee performance, conducting evaluations, assigning daily tasks to apprentices, leading and mentoring apprentices in maintenance tasks, evaluating training effectiveness, ensuring tasks comply with approved data (AMM, SRM, CMMs, WDM, Service Bulletins, Engineering Authorizations), delivering formal OJT instruction, testing and evaluating training procedures, coordinating with maintenance supervisors and Apprentice Program staff to align production needs with training requirements and rotations (including 14 CFR Part 65.77), documenting all OJT activities, maintaining compliance with company policies and Apprentice Program requirements, and reporting progress and risks to the OJT Production Supervisor while identifying barriers and providing corrective actions and material improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Airframe and or Powerplant mechanics certification is required.
- Experience in aviation maintenance, technical operations, or related field.
- Strong working knowledge of ACS tasks and FAA requirements.
- Ability to assess performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple trainers, tasks, and trainees simultaneously.
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
- The ability to read, write and understand English.
