OJT Lead

OJT Lead responsible for overseeing on-the-job training for apprentices in aircraft maintenance. Duties include observing trainee performance, conducting evaluations, assigning daily tasks and crews, leading and mentoring apprentices, evaluating training effectiveness, ensuring work is performed in accordance with approved data (AMM, SRM, CMMs, WDM, Service Bulletins, Engineering Authorizations, etc.), delivering formal OJT instruction, testing and evaluating training procedures, coordinating with maintenance supervisors and Apprentice Program staff to align production needs with training requirements, executing apprentice rotations to meet experience requirements (including those defined in 14 CFR Part 65.77), assisting trainees with interpretation of company manuals and approved data, maintaining comprehensive training documentation, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements, and communicating progress and risks to the OJT Production Supervisor. Qualifications include Airframe and/or Powerplant mechanics certification, aviation maintenance experience, strong knowledge of ACS tasks and FAA requirements, effective coaching and communication skills, high attention to detail, organizational and documentation abilities, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
