Job Summary
The Oil & Gas Parts Specialist is responsible for ordering, receiving, picking, and shipping parts while maintaining accurate inventory records. Key duties include inspecting parts for defects, assisting technicians in identifying parts based on engineering drawings, generating purchase orders, and managing vendor communications and customer invoicing. The qualified candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with three years of relevant experience in parts sales, particularly in mechanical or electrical domains, and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent ability to read and write in English at the 12th grade level
- Three years of experience in a mechanical, electrical, electronic, or plumbing parts sales organization
- Significant experience in using Microsoft Excel and Word, Adobe Acrobat, and inventory management software
- Ability to identify parts in engineering drawings
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
