Job Summary
Check and change car fluids and filters, check tire pressure, and perform specialized services like transmission and radiator work. Note customer and maintenance information into the computer, accept payment, and explain services provided. Maintain a clean work area and comply with safety rules while working as a team to ensure procedures are complete. Rotate through all Lube Technician duties including Upper Bay, Lower Bay, Greeter, and Cashier roles. This entry-level position offers full-time employment with training provided, health insurance, and a tip program based on credit card transactions.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must successfully complete the Lube Technician training course
- Must be able to reach four feet in height overhead
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
- Must be able to respond to communication calls from co-workers
- Must have mobility
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to stretch
- Must be able to walk up/down stairs
- Must be able to work in a garage environment 100% of the time
- Must be able to work with exposure to heavy equipment, slick surfaces, and hot-cold temperatures
- Must maintain a clean work area (including grounds, restrooms, customer area, etc.)
- Must use clean and proper uniform usage
- Must demonstrate good hygiene
- Must demonstrate effective employee relations
- Must work as a team to ensure procedures are complete
- Must observe and comply with safety rules and regulations
- Must provide service to customer vehicles
- Must check and change car fluids and filters
- Must check vehicles' tire pressure
- Must provide specialized service including but not limited to transmission, differential, and radiator services
- Must note customer and maintenance information into computer
- Must provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Must explain the service provided
- Must recommend additional services
- Must answer questions
- Must accept payment for services
- Must ensure timeliness and quality of service provided
- Must ensure accurate and timely data input in computer
- Must ensure clean and safe work area
- Must ensure safe work habits
