Job Summary
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with state guidelines and accurate assessment of damages or missing parts. Perform specialized services including fluid and filter changes, tire adjustments, and transmission or differential repairs. Maintain a clean work area, manage site security, and record customer and maintenance information into the computer. Provide prompt, courteous service while explaining procedures and accepting payments. Rotate through all Lube Technician duties, including Upper and Lower Bay operations, greeter, and cashier roles. Endure long periods outdoors in a garage environment with exposure to heavy equipment and temperature variations. Complete required Lube Technician training and maintain good operating condition of all equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must successfully complete the Lube Technician training course
- Must be able to reach four feet in height overhead
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
- Must be able to respond to communication calls from co-workers
- Must be able to endure long periods outdoors
- Must be able to perform bending, stretching, and walking up/down the stairs
- Must have Mobility
- Must be able to operate overhead and floor mounted oil and grease guns
- Must be able to operate differential pump
- Must be able to operate transmission fluid exchange machine
- Must be able to operate calculator
- Must be able to maintain a clean work area
- Must be able to maintain good operating condition of all equipment
- Must be able to provide prompt and courteous service both in person and on the phone
- Must be able to ensure thorough vehicle inspections by obtaining an accurate assessment of the vehicle
- Must be able to ensure vehicles meet acceptable standards by understanding, enforcing and facilitating the specific programs, rules and guidelines as established by state guidelines
- Must be able to identify damages, discrepancies, missing parts by inspecting vehicles as per inspection requirements
- Must be able to complete thorough vehicle inspections by obtaining an accurate assessment of the vehicle
- Must be able to ensure vehicles meet acceptable standards by understanding, enforcing and facilitating the specific programs, rules and guidelines as established by customers
