Job Summary
Assistant Shop Manager at Take 5 Oil Change oversees a shop floor, delivers excellent customer service, processes payments, and supports the Shop Manager in their absence. Responsibilities include running the floor to ensure staff are in position, performing opening/closing procedures, assisting with inventory, training new employees, performing oil changes and light maintenance (drain oil, change filters, replace wiper blades/air filters), restocking, maintaining shop cleanliness, and promoting a positive, efficient customer experience. The role offers paid training, a path for advancement, and competitive base pay with weekly bonuses. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work in a pit, and endure changing physical conditions, with reliable transportation to the shop.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
