Job Summary
Support the Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and fast, friendly customer experience. Serve as Manager on Duty when needed by coordinating workflow and ensuring the shop remains safe, efficient, and running smoothly. Complete Certified Technician training, perform all Lead Technician responsibilities, and reinforce company procedures, safety requirements, and service standards. Train new team members, provide real-time coaching and feedback, and assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments. Identify opportunities for shop performance improvement and take on additional leadership responsibilities when the Shop Manager is unavailable. Complete opening and closing procedures while supporting shop communication, reporting, and operational follow-up.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months' customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment
- Minimum 6 months' experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment
- A commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety control policies and practices
- Strong communication skills and comfort providing direction, coaching, and feedback to team members
- Initiative, accountability, and follow-through on responsibilities
- The ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-focused during busy periods
- The ability to meet applicable age and certification requirements, including Inspector Certification when required
- Reliable transportation to and from your work location
- Lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Maneuver safely in and out of a shallow 3-foot-deep pit to position yourself under vehicles
- Walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, hold, grasp, pull, and turn for extended periods of time
- Work in hot or cold weather conditions when necessary
