Job Summary
Assistant Shop Manager at Take 5 Oil Change – responsible for delivering excellent customer service, processing payments, running the shop floor in the Shop Manager’s absence, assisting with opening/closing, supervising and training new employees, and performing light auto services (oil change, oil filter changes, air filter changes, tire inflation). The role emphasizes leadership development, inventory maintenance, maintaining shop cleanliness, and providing a pathway for advancement from Crew Member/Assistant Shop Manager to Shop Manager with paid training and potential salary/bonus growth. Full-time with paid training, weekly bonuses, benefits (health, vision, dental, 401(k) match), and opportunities for rapid advancement are offered.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
- Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
- Experience is VALUED but not required
- PAID TRAINING on the Take 5 way to manage a shop location, change oil, replace wiper blades/air filters, fill air in tires, and perform other light maintenance services
